Fender American Vintage II 1961 Stratocaster RW Fiesta Red Električna gitara

Fender American Vintage II 1961 Stratocaster RW Fiesta Red — A Period-Correct Recreation of an Icon

Built around an alder body with hand-applied gloss nitrocellulose lacquer, this instrument reproduces the look, feel and unmistakable voice of a true 1961 Stratocaster. By 1961, the Strat had taken on a more refined aesthetic, and this reissue captures every detail of that pivotal year. The result feels like a vintage instrument straight out of the original Fender factory — with the reliability and precision of a modern build.

What Sets This Reissue Apart

What makes this model special is its uncompromising focus on period-correct specifications. The Pure Vintage '61 single-coil pickups are voiced exclusively for this guitar and cannot be purchased separately — built with cloth-covered wire, fiber bobbins and alnico magnets like the originals. Even the headstock decal is applied over the finish rather than sprayed over it, just as it was in 1961.

Body Construction and Finish — Vintage Resonance, Modern Reliability

Alder is the tonewood of choice, prized for its balanced response with beefy mids and a full low-end. The nitrocellulose lacquer finish is the same formulation Fender used in the late '50s and early '60s, allowing the wood to breathe and age gracefully over time.

• Body Material: Alder — balanced tone with strong mids and a full low-end
• Body Finish: Gloss Nitrocellulose Lacquer — vintage-correct formulation that ages naturally
• Body Shape: Stratocaster — the iconic double-cutaway silhouette

Neck Profile and Fingerboard — Built for the Vintage Feel

The neck is carved from a single piece of maple in the medium 1961 "C" profile, finished in gloss nitrocellulose lacquer. A slab rosewood fingerboard with a 7.25" radius sits beneath 21 vintage-tall frets and clay-dot inlays, providing the comfortable, slinky playing feel that defined the era. A bone nut and 42 mm nut width complete the setup, offering precise string spacing and excellent tuning stability.

• Neck Material: Maple with 1961 "C" profile — medium carve that suits a wide range of hand sizes
• Fingerboard: Slab Rosewood — 7.25" radius with clay-dot inlays for the classic vintage feel
• Scale Length: 648 mm — the classic Fender 25.5" scale
• Frets: 21 Vintage Tall — period-correct size for accurate bending

Pickups and Hardware — Pure Vintage Tone and Performance

The 5-position blade switch, master volume and dual tone controls provide a full palette of classic Strat tones. Hardware is finished in nickel/chrome and includes a Pure Vintage synchronized tremolo, cold-rolled steel block, and single-line "Fender Deluxe" tuners for stable, accurate tuning.

• Pickup Configuration: SSS — three Pure Vintage '61 single-coil Strat pickups
• Bridge: Pure Vintage Synchronized Tremolo with bent steel saddles and cold-rolled steel block
• Tuners: Single-Line "Fender Deluxe" — vintage-correct design with stable performance
