The Teenage Engineering EP-127 K.O.-PEDAL is a wireless foot pedal controller designed to expand the EP-35 K.O.-AMP with hands-free performance control. Two pressure-sensitive, foot-sized buttons sit under a compact 176 x 84 x 26 mm housing, giving guitarists and vocalists expressive control over effects, looping, metronome and music playback without taking their hands off the instrument. The EP-127 K.O.-PEDAL pairs with EP-35 over Bluetooth LE or USB-C, and also works as a standalone MIDI and HID controller for DAWs, synth apps and external pedalboards.

Expressive Foot Control Beyond a Basic Footswitch

Unlike a simple on/off footswitch, each button supports five distinct gestures: press, double-press, tap, force-press, and continuous actuation by rocking the foot forward and backward. A hidden switch inside the battery compartment toggles between MIDI state and HID state, where the buttons send left/right arrows, 'm' and space-bar keystrokes for video playback and presentation control. Four modes — FX, Looper, Metronome and Music Playback — are cycled with a dedicated mode button, while the BT button switches between the guitar and mic channels on EP-35.

Connectivity is the EP-127's strongest asset, letting it slot into both the EP-35 ecosystem and a broader MIDI setup. Bluetooth LE MIDI pairs the pedal with phones, computers and field devices, while USB-C handles wired MIDI, HID and power through a single cable. A 3.5 mm TRS MIDI out jack drives synths and pedalboards, and a 3.5 mm expression pedal input lets a separate volume pedal adjust the selected channel on EP-35.

Two Buttons, Five Gestures, Four Modes
