Industrial-strength 150-grit diamond coating leaves a smooth, clean slot without the drifting common to standard toothed files. Round "string-shape" blades won't bend, and the ergonomic handle keeps the cut controlled on the workbench.

Why this size and design

At .056" / 1.42 mm, this file fits common electric and acoustic guitar string gauges. It works on nylon, bone, graphite and TUSQ nut materials, as well as on saddles. Laser-engraved size markings on the blade and a hang hole in the handle make it easy to identify and store in any tech's tool drawer.
