Sound quality is at the core of the U9 system. Its premium supercardioid gooseneck microphone is specifically voiced for violin and viola, delivering natural tone and detailed response. With a maximum SPL of 142 dB and a sensitivity of –45 dB, it accurately captures the dynamics and character of the instrument in both live and studio environments.

Reliable Wireless Performance

Built on Xvive’s wireless expertise, the U9 operates in the 2.4 GHz band and offers six selectable channels to help avoid interference. The system provides a wireless range of up to 90 feet, allowing performers complete freedom of movement on stage while maintaining stable, high-quality audio transmission.

Flexible Mounting and Positioning

The system includes a sturdy clip that securely attaches the transmitter and microphone to the body of a violin or viola. It fits instruments with a body thickness between 30 mm and 40 mm (1.18"–1.57"). The adjustable gooseneck design allows precise microphone placement, helping players find the optimal position to capture their instrument’s tone. An included windscreen can also be attached to reduce wind noise during movement or outdoor performances.

Convenient Charging

The transmitter and receiver can be charged simultaneously using the included dual USB-C cable and any 5 V / 2 A USB power supply. A full 2.5-hour charge provides up to 5 hours of operation, while shorter charges allow quick top-ups when needed.
