Yes, I would like to inform you that the rounded, star-shaped plastic part on the Rode DS1 microphone stand (located directly below the threaded socket) is removable. This element is primarily for aesthetic purposes and may also slightly improve stability and vibration damping, but is not essential to the operation of the stand. If your microphone is designed in such a way that the XLR connector would not fit because of this element, you can safely remove it. This can usually be done by simply unscrewing it or by gently pulling it off - no tools required. Please ensure that the microphone is properly and securely attached to the stand even after removal.
