Novation Launchkey 61 MK4 — DAW Controller With Five Octaves of Semi-Weighted Keys

The Novation Launchkey 61 MK4 is a 61-key USB MIDI controller for hands-on DAW control and expressive playing. Semi-weighted keys deliver a hardware-instrument feel, while custom scripts for Ableton Live, Logic, Cubase, FL Studio, Reason, Bitwig, and Ardour make it a plug-and-play control surface.

What Sets This Controller Apart

Patented FSR pads with polyphonic aftertouch use a radial sensor for tighter finger-drumming. A 128 x 64 OLED display shows chord and scale info at a glance, NKS-ready integration pairs with Native Instruments, and a generative arpeggiator turns chords into evolving sequences.

Keybed and Pads — Expressive Playing Surface

Semi-weighted keys support split and layer zones across Parts A and B, while the pad grid works as a drum rack, clip launcher, and chord trigger.

• Keys Number: 61 semi-weighted keys — five octaves of expressive playing range
• Pads: 16 RGB velocity-sensitive pads with polyphonic aftertouch — for finger-drumming, clip launching, and chord triggering
• Mechanical pitch and modulation wheels — fully assignable for expressive bends and vibrato control

Encoders, Faders, and I/O — Hands-On DAW Control

Eight endless rotary encoders and nine faders give tactile access to mixer, plugin, sends, and transport functions, with four Custom Modes via Components.

• Encoders: 8 endless rotary — assignable to plugin parameters, mixer, sends, or MIDI CC
• Faders: 9 with 9 buttons — hands-on volume, pan, and record-arm control across DAW tracks
• USB-C, 5-pin MIDI OUT, and 1/4" sustain pedal jack — connect external modules and footswitches without adapters

Power, Build, and Bundled Software

USB bus power keeps the setup cable-light, and the chassis fits standard desks. The software bundle covers DAW, instruments, effects, and lessons.

• Power: USB bus powered — no external power supply required
• Dimensions: 895 × 263.5 × 93 mm, Weight: 4.78 kg — five-octave footprint for a home studio desk
• Software bundle and USB-C to A cable — Ableton Live Lite, Cubase LE, Novation Play, Komplete 15 Select, plus Melodics lessons
