Standout Features: Modern Electronics & Premium Comfort

What sets the YRS-23 apart is its Ultra II Noiseless Vintage Jazz Bass pickups, which eliminate unwanted hum while delivering classic punch and rich harmonic content. Musicians benefit from an 18V active preamp with expanded headroom and tonal flexibility, allowing seamless transitions between active and passive modes. Modern touches like Luminlay side dots and a sculpted neck heel enhance comfort and convenience for live performance.

Body & Neck: Foundation for Superior Resonance

With a body made from select alder and a neck of quartersawn maple, responsiveness and resonance are built in. The contoured offset body design supports comfortable access to every fret, and the gloss urethane finish is both durable and acoustically vibrant.

• Body Material: Selected Alder — appreciated for balanced tone and solid sustain
• Neck Material: Quartersawn Maple — delivers stability and fluid playability
• Players who value lasting protection and vibrant appearance will find the gloss urethane finish a perfect fit.

Neck Profile & Fingerboard: Effortless Playability

Comfort comes first, with a Modern D-profile neck and a compound-radius ebony fingerboard adaptable to both aggressive and subtle techniques. Rolled fingerboard edges, together with a sculpted neck heel, make fast runs and upper fret access second nature for technical bassists.

• Neck Profile: Modern D — tailored for speed and ergonomic comfort
• Fingerboard: Ebony, compound radius (254–356 mm) — supports smooth transitions from chords to solos
• Luminlay side dots offer glow-in-the-dark visibility, ensuring confident navigation on dark stages.

Pickups & Electronics: Powerful Sonic Control

The Ultra II Noiseless single-coils, an 18V preamp, and sophisticated controls deliver everything from deep lows to articulate highs. Active/passive switching and a 3-band EQ with mid-frequency selector provide precision for any musical style or professional session.

• Pickups Configuration: SS (Ultra II Noiseless Vintage Jazz Bass) — classic tones without unwanted noise
• Electronics: Active 18V preamp, S-1 switch, 3-band EQ with mid-frequency selector — unlocks vast tonal potential
• With the HiMass adjustable bridge, bassists achieve enhanced sustain and precise intonation for demanding performances.
