If the Korg PS-1 pedal switch does not respond when plugged in, first check the cable and jack for damage or loose connections. Verify the keyboard's pedal polarity setting matches the PS-1's polarity. Also, ensure the pedal is plugged into the correct jack (usually labeled "switch" or "assignable switch"). Performing a keyboard factory reset may help if settings are incorrect.
